Autumn/Winter St. Jean d'Aulps (810m) is a small mountain village surrounded by beautiful scenery. It has it's own ski station known as 'La Grande Terche' which is only 5 minutes from the chalet. The Ecole Ski Français provides child care facilities for 3-6 year olds and there is a crèche for children from 2 months to 6 years at the top of the gondola. A shuttle bus service connects St. Jean d'Aulps centre and La Grande Terche. The local ski area is linked to Bellevaux which covers 21 miles, with 16 pistes ranging from 900m to 1800m, it is ideal for beginners, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. If you really want more, then it is only 10 minute drive to the Morzine/Avoriaz sking areas, linking into 650kms of the massive and fabulous Portes du Soleil ski area.
