Spring/Summer St. Jean d'Aulps is a mountain village open all year round and has a great deal to offer. There are a wide range of walks on sign-posted footpaths, you can go to the mountain tops via the gondola which is open in July and August or into the Aulps Valley to discover the different villages, lakes, picturesque spots and rich alpine fauna and flora. You can swim in Montriond's lake, which is open from 10am to 6pm every day in July and August. Also the nearby town of Morzine has an olympic size outdoor swimming pool, Adventure park and tennis courts. If you are brave enough paragliding flights with an instructor are available. There are many fishing places and mountain biking circuits all around St Jean d'Aulps and other neighbouring villages. A visit to the Aulps Abbey is very interesting, if you want to see the remains that still stand today and discover its history.
